PSEi Climbs Above 6,270 As Market Ends Higher

The Philippine stock market closed on a positive note on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, as the PSEi gained 28.66 points or 0.46 percent to finish at 6,275.77.
Trading activity reached a total value of PHP 5.0 billion, with market performance showing a mixed session as 80 issues advanced, 98 declined, and 55 remained unchanged.
Foreign investors remained net buyers during the session, recording PHP 3.20 billion in foreign buying against PHP 2.41 billion in foreign selling. This resulted in a net foreign buying position of PHP 789.03 million.
Despite more declining stocks than gainers, the local index managed to stay in positive territory, supported by continued foreign fund inflows and selective buying across key sectors.
