PSEi Ends Lower As Market Closes In The Red

The Philippine stock market ended weaker on April 27, 2026, as investors closed the day with losses across key sectors.

The PSEi finished at 5,901.15, down 42.34 points or 0.71 percent, reflecting cautious trading sentiment throughout the session.

Market activity remained moderate, with total value turnover reaching PHP 5.3 billion.

On the broader market breadth, decliners outnumbered advancers. A total of 107 stocks fell, while 86 advanced and 56 remained unchanged, signaling a generally negative tone.

Foreign flows also weighed on sentiment, with foreign selling surpassing buying for the day. Foreign buying reached PHP 2.70 billion, while foreign selling amounted to PHP 3.38 billion, resulting in a net foreign outflow of PHP 677.34 million.

Market observers noted that the overall weakness reflected continued profit-taking and cautious positioning among investors as global and local uncertainties persist.
