PSEi Slips Below 6,100 Amid Broad Market Decline

The Philippine stock market ended Monday in negative territory as selling pressure dragged the benchmark index lower.

The PSEi closed at 6,006.55, falling 52.39 points or 0.86 percent, reflecting cautious sentiment among investors.

Market activity reached PHP 9.5 billion in total value traded during the session. Declining stocks significantly outnumbered gainers, with 153 decliners compared to 53 advancing stocks, while 53 issues remained unchanged.

Foreign investors were also net sellers for the day. Foreign buying totaled Php 3,168,469,845.24, while foreign selling reached Php 3,568,622,447.35, resulting in net foreign selling of Php 400,152,602.11.

The latest market performance highlights continued cautious trading in the local bourse as investors monitor economic developments and global market trends.
