The Philippine Stock Exchange Index ended Friday’s trading session slightly lower, reflecting cautious investor sentiment and continued foreign selling.

On March 27, 2026, the benchmark index closed at 5,972.83, down by 11.37 points or 0.19 percent. Despite the dip, market activity remained relatively balanced, with advancing and declining stocks nearly equal.

Total market turnover reached PHP 8.9 billion, indicating steady participation from investors. Advancers edged slightly ahead at 92, compared to 91 decliners, while 54 stocks remained unchanged.

Foreign investors, however, continued to weigh on the market. Total foreign buying amounted to Php 3.34 billion, but this was outpaced by foreign selling at Php 3.44 billion, resulting in a net foreign outflow of Php 95.5 million.

The latest figures highlight a market that remains stable but cautious, as investors continue to navigate both local and global economic signals.
