Former President and now Pampanga representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has firmly denied reports linking her to a supposed move to unseat Speaker of the House Bojie Dy.
In a statement, Arroyo dismissed the allegations and reaffirmed her support for Dy’s leadership in the House of Representatives, amid circulating claims of an internal shake-up.
“I categorically deny the allegations concerning the supposed ouster of Speaker Bojie Dy that surfaced yesterday. I reaffirm my confidence in his leadership of the House of Representatives. Our mutual support, which began many years ago with his late father, remains unbroken.”
Her remarks come as speculation continues to swirl within political circles about possible leadership changes in the House. Arroyo, however, made it clear that she stands firmly behind Dy, emphasizing a long-standing alliance between their camps.
