Big Fuel Rollback On April 14

Motorists are set to get relief at the pumps next week as fuel prices are expected to go down starting Tuesday, April 14, based on estimates from the Department of Energy.
The DOE said the projected adjustments are based on the movement of international oil prices, comparing the average prices over the last five days with the previous week’s average.
While actual pump prices may still vary per gasoline station due to location, transport costs, and market competition, the estimated minimum rollback per liter is as follows:
Diesel: ₱20.89 decrease per liter
Gasoline: ₱4.43 decrease per liter
Kerosene: ₱8.50 decrease per liter
The DOE noted that final retail price adjustments are still subject to the weekly price-setting implementation of oil companies, but the trend reflects lower international oil prices.
Philippine officials have previously said such rollbacks provide short-term relief to consumers, especially for transport operators and households heavily affected by fuel costs.
Among officials monitoring fuel trends is Energy Secretary Sharon Garin, who relayed the DOE’s estimates ahead of the scheduled adjustment.
Fuel companies are expected to announce their final pump price adjustments within the week, ahead of implementation on April 14.
