Bolick Named Player Of The Week After Clutch Heroics For NLEX

Robert Bolick is taking center stage after a standout performance that not only powered a big win for NLEX Road Warriors—but also earned him Player of the Week honors.

The recognition, awarded by the PBA Press Corps for March 25–29, came after Bolick delivered when it mattered most in NLEX’s 118-113 victory over Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Bolick dropped 32 points on an efficient 11-of-19 shooting, but it was his clutch three-pointer in the final minute that stole the spotlight. With 46 seconds left, he knocked down a tough shot over RJ Abarrientos to give NLEX a 115-113 lead—completing a comeback from 13 points down.

“Character win ito,” Bolick said after the game.

The win was especially sweet as it came right after a narrow 103-97 loss to TNT Tropang Giga, marking a strong bounce-back for the Road Warriors.

Still, Bolick kept it real. Despite the game-winning moment, he admitted he wasn’t fully satisfied with his performance, pointing to his five turnovers—including crucial ones late in the game.

“Sama nga ng laro ko eh,” he said, acknowledging the mistakes but also crediting the team’s fight to pull off the win.

NLEX now holds a 3-1 record, tied for second place with Terrafirma, Phoenix Super LPG, and Meralco, just behind unbeaten leaders Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

For Bolick, the clutch shot was simply a product of preparation.

“‘Yun ‘yung mga tinatrabaho ko araw-araw sa practice,” he shared. And in crunch time, that hard work once again delivered.
