Cebu Pacific Cuts Flights As Fuel Costs Surge Amid Middle East Crisis

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific announced on Monday that it will temporarily scale back parts of its flight network, citing rising global fuel prices linked to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
In an advisory dated March 23, the airline said it will implement frequency reductions and select flight cancellations. The company noted that the crisis has driven global fuel prices to levels that have “more than doubled compared with 2025 averages.”
“We understand that these changes may disrupt travel plans, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” the airline said.
Affected passengers have been informed and provided with options through Cebu Pacific’s “Manage Booking” portal.
Passengers may choose to rebook their flights without fare difference, subject to seat availability, within 30 days before or after their original travel date. They may also opt to convert the value of their ticket into a travel fund, which can be used for future bookings without expiration, or request a refund, with processing time depending on the mode of payment.
Cebu Pacific said the adjustments are temporary and are being implemented to ensure “stable and sustainable operations” amid current challenges.
The airline added that the rest of its network is expected to continue operating as scheduled, and encouraged passengers to keep their contact details updated and monitor its official website and social media channels for further advisories.
