Death Toll Climbs To 23 In Angeles Building Collapse As More Bodies Recovered

The death toll from the devastating building collapse in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City has risen to 23 after rescue teams recovered two more bodies from the rubble on Tuesday morning.
According to the Unified Command, responders successfully extricated a body from Quadrant 2 of the collapsed structure shortly after 7 a.m. The update was relayed to Responsible Official and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin II.
A few hours later, shortly after 9 a.m., another body was recovered from the debris, bringing the confirmed number of fatalities to 23 as of 9:30 a.m.
Authorities said both victims were immediately subjected to proper recovery and identification procedures. The remains were turned over to the City Health Office for transport and to the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) for Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) processing.
Search, rescue, and retrieval operations continue at Ground Zero as emergency responders work tirelessly to locate any remaining victims trapped beneath the wreckage.
The tragedy has become one of the deadliest structural collapse incidents in recent years in Angeles City, with authorities continuing to investigate the cause of the disaster while supporting affected families.
