Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon is moving to speed things up—making sure residents in Pasig stay safe from landslides.

Following the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the government is now rushing the completion of a long-delayed slope protection structure in Barangay San Jose, Pasig City.

Dizon, who personally inspected the site alongside Mayor Vico Sotto, stressed the urgency of the project—especially with the rainy season always posing a serious threat to communities in landslide-prone areas.

He warned that without proper protection, soil can weaken over time and eventually collapse—something they want to avoid at all costs, especially after similar incidents in other areas.

The Department of Public Works and Highways is now focused on ensuring that the structure is not just completed quickly, but built to last—giving residents peace of mind after years of concern.
