Dizon Urges Youth Leaders To Step Up And Help Drive Reforms Across Government

Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon is calling on young leaders and the private sector to take a more active role in pushing reforms—especially in the fight against corruption.
Speaking during the 5th General Membership Meeting of Junior Chamber International Manila, Dizon stressed that real change in government won’t happen without broader participation from outside the public sector.
He emphasized that organizations like JCI play a crucial role in connecting private sector leaders with the direction and priorities of the administration. For Dizon, understanding these goals is key to ensuring that reforms in infrastructure and governance move forward effectively.
The message aligns with the push of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who has repeatedly highlighted the importance of involving both the youth and private sector in strengthening transparency and accountability in government.
Dizon underscored that reforms are not just the responsibility of government agencies alone. Instead, he said, they should be a shared effort—one that includes young leaders who can help shape a more transparent and accountable system.
At the heart of his call is a simple idea: if more sectors get involved, reforms won’t just stay on paper—they can actually take root and create lasting change.
