DOLE Orders Tab Baldwin To Explain Work Permit

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued a show cause order against Ateneo de Manila University men's basketball coach Tab Baldwin, requiring him to explain matters concerning his Alien Employment Permit (AEP).
According to Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino, Baldwin has been directed to appear before the DOLE on Monday to address questions related to his permit and employment status in the country.
The move comes as the labor department reviews compliance with regulations governing the employment of foreign nationals working in the Philippines.
So far, neither Baldwin nor Ateneo has publicly commented on the matter.
Further details are expected following Baldwin's appearance before labor officials next week.
