It was a tense morning in Quezon City after a fire broke out at Landers Fairview, quickly escalating to a 5th Alarm early today.
The blaze was first reported at around 4:44 a.m., prompting firefighters to declare a 1st Alarm. As flames spread, authorities swiftly raised the alert level, reaching a 5th Alarm by 5:15 a.m. After hours of firefighting efforts, the fire was finally declared under control at 8:01 a.m.
The incident also caused heavy traffic in the surrounding area, but the situation was promptly managed through the coordinated efforts of MMDA, QC Traffic and Transport Management Department (QC-TTMD), QC Department of Public Order and Safety (QC-DPOS), and Barangay Pasong Putik traffic enforcers.
As of writing, an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, Landers Superstore released a statement confirming that Landers Fairview is temporarily closed following the incident. The company encouraged members to visit nearby branches such as Landers UP Town Center, Balintawak, or other Landers Superstores for their regular shopping needs.
Landers also thanked customers for their continued support and understanding as they work to address the situation.
