Three former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials pleaded not guilty on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Sandiganbayan in connection with the controversial P92.8‑million flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.

Former DPWH engineers Brice Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza, along with cashier Christina Pineda, denied graft charges linked to the alleged non-existent project. The case centers on allegations that the flood control initiative was never implemented despite significant government funds being allocated.

During the arraignment, all three accused firmly rejected any involvement in the supposed anomalies.

The Sandiganbayan has scheduled future proceedings for the case, including pretrial hearings for Hernandez, Mendoza, and Pineda, as well as separate arraignments for other co-accused.
