Family, friends, and colleagues gathered Thursday to bid a solemn farewell to Police Senior Master Sergeant Diane Marie Mollenido and her eight-year-old son, John Ysmael Mollenido, at Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City. A Mass was held earlier at St. Joseph Parish inside Camp Bagong Diwa.
Members of the NCR Police Office and fellow officers paid tribute to Mollenido’s years of dedicated service, honoring her commitment to public safety. A final salute marked the occasion, reflecting the respect and admiration of colleagues and the community.
The mother and son had been reported missing on January 19. Diane’s body was recovered in Pulilan, Bulacan, while John Ysmael’s was later found in Victoria, Tarlac. Authorities have linked their deaths to a dispute over a car sale, and suspects have been arrested.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities pursuing justice and closure for the family.
