King Charles III has broken his silence following reports concerning Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicions of misconduct in public office.
In a brief but firm statement, the King said he learned of the developments “with the deepest concern,” signaling the seriousness of the matter as it now moves into formal investigation.
He stressed that what comes next is a full, fair and proper process, to be handled by the appropriate authorities. The monarch made it clear that those tasked with investigating the issue will have the Palace’s “full and wholehearted support and co-operation.”
The King underscored a key principle: the law must take its course.
At the same time, he said it would not be appropriate for him to comment further while the process is ongoing. As the investigation unfolds, he assured the public that he and his family will continue carrying out their duties and service.
