'Logically And Physically Impossible': Romualdez Camp Dismisses Senate Allegations

The camp of former Speaker of the House Martin Romualdez has strongly pushed back against allegations aired in the Senate, calling them not only baseless but also “logically and physically impossible.”

In a video statement, Atty. Ade Fajardo said the claims crumble under scrutiny, pointing out that Curlee Discaya — who testified under oath — categorically stated that he never entered South Forbes Park. “If he was never there, then it would have been impossible for him to approach anyone or issue instructions in that place,” Fajardo stressed.

Fajardo added that the accusations being circulated did not come from credible or independent sources. Instead, he said they were based solely on statements from staff members of an evicted tenant, and were not backed by any documents or solid evidence.

He also addressed claims attempting to link Martin Romualdez to alleged payments related to the property. According to Fajardo, Romualdez’s name does not appear in any contract or payment record tied to the issue. “There is no evidence — only hearsay, possibly manufactured statements, and nothing more,” he said.

Fajardo emphasized that without documentary proof or verifiable facts, the allegations simply do not hold water. “There is nothing to answer,” he concluded.
