LPG Price Stays The Same, Says Regasco Chief

There’s some welcome news for households this Labor Day—LPG prices are not going up this May.

Arnel Ty, President and CEO of Regasco, confirmed that cooking gas prices will remain unchanged for the month, offering a bit of relief to consumers already dealing with rising costs.

In a short holiday announcement, Ty said the decision comes after Saudi Aramco released its latest international contract price for LPG, which stayed at $780 per metric ton—showing no movement from the previous cycle.

With global prices steady, local LPG rates are also holding the line.

For Metro Manila, the suggested retail price (SRP) remains at around ₱1,367 for an 11-kilogram cylinder. In more remote areas, where additional transport costs come into play, prices can reach up to ₱1,500.

Ty also took a moment to greet Filipino workers on Labor Day, recognizing their role in keeping industries running—including the LPG sector.

For now, consumers can expect no surprises at the tank—at least for the month of May.
