Mindanao has added another Philippine National Standards (PNS)-compliant LPG refilling facility, strengthening efforts to ensure consumers have access to safer and more reliable liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplies.

The Department of Energy–Mindanao Field Office (DOE-MFO) welcomed the inauguration of the newly established LPG Refilling Plant of Bahandi Gas Corporation in Matanao, Davao del Sur.

With the opening of the facility, the number of DOE-compliant LPG refilling plants in Mindanao has increased to 44, reflecting the continued expansion of facilities that meet government safety and quality requirements.

The DOE-MFO said the milestone highlights the importance of collaboration between the private and public sectors in promoting compliance with national standards and supporting investments in the energy sector.

The agency emphasized that the growing number of compliant LPG facilities will help strengthen the supply chain while providing consumers with safer and higher-quality LPG products.
