The conflict is no longer just about warnings — it has now moved into active retaliation.

The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv urged Filipinos to remain indoors and prepare for possible sheltering as tensions escalated following a joint military operation by Israel and the United States against Iran.

Now, the Israel Defense Forces says Iran has launched retaliatory strikes.

In a statement, the IDF confirmed that missiles have been fired toward Israeli territory and emphasized that Israel has the right to defend itself.

The Israeli military also disclosed that it, alongside the US Armed Forces, carried out what it described as a broad and joint operation aimed at significantly degrading the Iranian regime’s capabilities and removing what it called existential threats to Israel over time.

According to the IDF, the Iranian leadership has not abandoned what Israel views as its long-standing objective to destroy the Jewish state. The statement accused Tehran of continuously financing, training, and arming proxy groups positioned along Israel’s borders — actions Israel says pose not only a direct threat to its survival but also a broader danger to the Middle East and the rest of the world.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump confirmed that American forces had begun major combat operations in Iran, saying the move was necessary to eliminate imminent threats and protect US troops and allies.

With retaliatory strikes now confirmed, regional tensions have reached a critical point. For civilians — including thousands of overseas Filipino workers in Israel — the priority remains safety as governments brace for what could be a prolonged and dangerous escalation.
