With no temporary restraining order issued, impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte are set to continue as scheduled, lawmakers confirmed.

Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon made it clear that the process will push through, saying, “No TRO vs Duterte impeachment proceedings: See you on April 14.”

The upcoming April 14 hearing is part of the ongoing efforts of the House Committee on Justice to determine probable cause in the impeachment complaints filed against the Vice President.

Ahead of the development, Mamamayang Liberal Party-list Rep. Leila de Lima criticized Duterte’s move to seek intervention from the Supreme Court of the Philippines.

“Akala siguro nila yung SC ay ‘Sara’s Court’ na pwede nila laging takbuhan para pagtakpan ang kaduwagan at pagtakas sa pananagutan,” De Lima said in a post on X.

The remarks come as the House panel continues its hearings, with key proceedings expected to resume on April 14, signaling that the impeachment process remains firmly on track despite legal challenges.
