Fans of the MLBB esports community were surprised after Kiel Calvin “Oheb” Soriano announced that he will be stepping back from the competitive scene for the time being.
This comes after he was listed as inactive in the roster of Team Liquid Philippines for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 17. He was replaced by Indonesian player AeronnShikii.
Following this development, a statement released through his lawyer confirmed that Oheb had already resigned from the team on February 26, 2026.
Oheb’s Message to Fans
On March 9, Oheb shared a heartfelt message addressed to his fans and the entire ML community that has supported him throughout his career.
“To all the fans and the entire ML community who have supported me, thank you very much.
There have been so many memories, so many victories, and so many dreams fulfilled.
I will forever be grateful for the support and love you’ve given the Filipino Sniper.
For now, I feel like I need to step back for a while.
Not because it’s the end, but to reflect and think things through.
It wasn’t an easy decision, but I know it’s what I need to do right now.
Thank you for supporting me in every match.
For now, this is where we pause.”
Not a Goodbye
Although he is taking a break from the competitive scene, Oheb emphasized that this is not the end of his journey. Instead, he plans to take time to reflect after years of competing at the highest level.
For fans of the “Filipino Sniper,” the possibility of his return to the MLBB scene in the future remains open.
