Motorists should prepare for higher fuel costs as major oil companies announced another round of price adjustments effective Tuesday, February 17, 2026. This is the seventh consecutive fuel price increase in 2026, continuing a trend of rising pump prices across the country.

According to industry reports, gasoline prices will increase by about ₱1.20 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will rise by roughly ₱0.60 per liter. The adjustments reflect continued volatility in global crude oil markets and ongoing geopolitical tensions affecting supply.

A spokesperson from one of the leading oil firms said, “We understand this will affect households and commuters, but the adjustment reflects global market realities and operational costs.”

The Department of Energy (DOE) continues to monitor the situation, reminding the public that weekly price changes are normal responses to shifts in international oil markets.

The price hikes are expected to impact transportation costs, with jeepney and bus operators warning that fares may increase as a result. Commuters are advised to plan ahead as the new rates take effect on Tuesday morning.
