The Philippine government has extended its visa-free entry program for Taiwan passport holders, allowing eligible travelers to visit the country without a visa for up to 14 days through June 30, 2027.

The announcement was made by the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) on Tuesday, with the renewed policy taking effect on July 1. According to MECO, the move is part of the Philippines' commitment to reciprocity, following Taiwan's continued visa-free entry privilege for Filipino travelers.

Under the updated policy, Taiwan passport holders may enter the Philippines without securing a visa, provided their stay does not exceed 14 days.

However, MECO clarified that the visa-free privilege is strictly non-extendible and cannot be converted into any other type of Philippine visa while the visitor is in the country.

Travelers from Taiwan who plan to stay in the Philippines for more than 14 days will still be required to obtain the appropriate Philippine visa before their arrival.

The extension is expected to further strengthen tourism, business, and people-to-people exchanges between the Philippines and Taiwan while maintaining the reciprocal travel benefits enjoyed by citizens of both sides.
