Poa Defends VP Sara's SALN Entry Says No Rules Broken
PCO FILE
Michael Poa, spokesperson for the legal team of Vice President Sara Duterte, pushed back against criticism surrounding how certain assets were declared in her Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).

Speaking in an interview with Pinky Webb on On Point, Poa said their camp sees no violation in listing cash in bank accounts under the category “others.”

He made it clear that, from the defense’s standpoint, the key issue is transparency—not the specific grouping used in the document. According to Poa, the Vice President did not hide any assets and made a full declaration, even if some entries were placed under a broader category.

Poa acknowledged that others may interpret the rules differently and that the issue could become a point of debate moving forward. Still, he emphasized that for their side, there was no intent to conceal wealth.

For the legal team, he said, what matters most is that all assets were disclosed—regardless of how they were categorized—rejecting claims that there was any attempt to keep information hidden.
