A Philippine government official says discussions are underway about potentially restricting access to Roblox nationwide, raising concerns among players and parents alike.
According to Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center head Atty. Aboy Paraiso, the agency is set to meet with telecommunications companies to explore how such a move could be implemented.
The statement was shared during a phone interview on UNTV’s morning program Hataw Balita Ngayon on March 24, 2026.
Paraiso explained that the goal is to coordinate with telcos to block both the app and website access, effectively preventing users in the Philippines from using the platform altogether.
While no official timeline has been announced, the move signals a stricter stance on online platforms, especially those frequently used by minors. The proposal is still in the discussion stage, and further updates are expected after consultations with industry stakeholders.
If implemented, the ban could impact millions of Filipino users who regularly access the popular gaming platform.
