March 5, 2026 – The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) made a solid comeback today, climbing 72.69 points, or 1.15%, to close at 6,380.53. Investors seemed encouraged by the day’s positive momentum, with more stocks advancing than declining.
The market saw a total trading value of PHP 6.2 billion. Among the 256 actively traded stocks, 125 gained, 72 fell, and 59 remained unchanged.
Foreign investors were slightly net sellers, with PHP 3.05 billion in purchases offset by PHP 3.25 billion in sales, resulting in a net foreign outflow of about PHP 198 million.
Market watchers noted the rebound shows cautious optimism among traders. “Despite foreign selling, local investors stepped in to lift the market,” said one analyst.
With volatility continuing to shape trading sessions, investors are keeping a close eye on market movements in the coming days.
