The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) closed lower today, March 30, finishing at 5,869.49 points, down 103.34 points or 1.73% from yesterday.

Market activity reached a total value of PHP 8.2 billion, with 126 stocks declining, 74 advancing, and 60 remaining unchanged.

Foreign investors were active, but net selling dominated the day. While Php 2.98 billion flowed into local shares, Php 4.53 billion was pulled out, leaving a net foreign selling of Php 1.55 billion.

Analysts note that foreign selling continues to influence market direction, weighing on local investor sentiment.

Despite the dip, sectors like consumer goods and utilities showed resilience, hinting that investors are still selectively confident in certain areas of the market.
