PSEi Edges Higher As Foreign Investors Stay In Net Selling

The Philippine stock market closed slightly higher on Monday, May 11, 2026, with the PSEi finishing at 5,986.85, up 25.88 points or 0.43%.
Despite the modest gain, trading remained mixed across the board. Market breadth leaned slightly negative with 100 declining stocks, 91 advancing, and 73 unchanged.
Total market value turnover reached PHP 8.5 billion, reflecting cautious activity from investors as they weighed both local and global signals.
Foreign investors, meanwhile, remained net sellers for the day. Foreign buying amounted to PHP 2.85 billion, while foreign selling reached PHP 2.99 billion, resulting in a net foreign outflow of PHP 146.6 million.
The continued foreign selling suggests lingering caution in the market, even as the index managed to post a small gain by the close.
