The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) managed a modest gain on April 7, closing at 5,957.87, up 9.54 points or 0.16%, as investors weighed mixed signals in the market.

Trading was active, with a total value of PHP 5.8 billion, as 120 stocks advanced, 76 declined, and 65 remained unchanged.

Foreign investors, however, continued their selling spree, with Php 2.48 billion in purchases offset by Php 3.47 billion in sales, resulting in a net foreign outflow of Php 992 million.

Analysts noted that while the market showed resilience, foreign selling remains a key factor for traders to watch.
