The Philippine stock market ended slightly weaker on May 12, 2026, as investors remained cautious amid mixed trading activity.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed at 5,971.98, down 14.87 points or 0.25%, reflecting a mild pullback at the end of the session.

Market turnover reached PHP 9.4 billion, with more decliners than advancers as 107 stocks fell, while 78 gained and 62 remained unchanged.

Foreign investors also ended the day in net selling territory. Foreign buying totaled PHP 5.49 billion, while foreign selling reached PHP 5.59 billion, resulting in a net foreign selling of PHP 107.55 million.

Market analysts note that the slight dip reflects continued cautious sentiment, as investors weigh global economic signals and local market direction.

Despite the decline, trading remained relatively active, suggesting that investors are still selectively positioning in key stocks while waiting for stronger market cues.
