PSEi Ends Lower As Foreign Selling Weighs On Market

The Philippine stock market closed lower on April 14, 2026, as investors turned cautious amid continued foreign selling pressure.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended at 6,013.10, down 40.95 points or 0.68 percent from the previous session, reflecting a weaker trading sentiment throughout the day.

Market activity remained relatively moderate, with total value turnover reaching PHP 5.9 billion. Advancers slightly outnumbered decliners, with 110 stocks gaining, 93 declining, and 61 unchanged, showing a mixed performance across sectors.
Foreign investors remained net sellers for the session. Total foreign buying reached PHP 2.73 billion, while foreign selling amounted to PHP 3.18 billion, resulting in a net foreign selling position of PHP 446.77 million.

Overall, the session reflected continued caution among investors as the market struggled to maintain momentum, despite selective gains in individual stocks.
