MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended Monday's trading session in negative territory, falling 81.92 points, or 1.28%, to close at 6,333.80 as foreign investors remained net sellers.

Market activity reached ₱7.9 billion in total traded value, with 91 stocks advancing, 107 declining, and 52 issues unchanged, reflecting a generally weaker trading session.

Foreign investors recorded ₱4.16 billion in buying activity but sold ₱4.47 billion worth of local shares, resulting in net foreign selling of ₱312.45 million.

The decline in the benchmark index came amid continued investor caution, with foreign outflows adding pressure to the local stock market. Investors are expected to keep a close watch on upcoming economic developments and corporate earnings that could influence market sentiment in the coming trading sessions.
