Pulse Asia Survey Shows Higher Ratings For VP Sara Than President Marcos

A new Pulse Asia survey shows that Vice President Sara Duterte continues to receive higher performance and trust ratings than President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Based on the research firm's July 2026 Ulat ng Bayan Survey, 56% of Filipinos approved of Duterte's performance over the past three months, while 29% expressed disapproval and 15% remained undecided.
In contrast, only 29% approved of President Marcos' performance, while half of Filipino adults, or 50%, gave him a negative rating. Another 21% said they were undecided.

The survey also found a similar trend in public trust. Duterte posted a 58% trust rating, with 27% saying they did not trust her and 16% remaining undecided.
Meanwhile, President Marcos received a 28% trust rating, while 51% of respondents said they did not trust him. Around 21% were undecided on the issue.
Pulse Asia noted that President Marcos did not obtain majority approval in any geographic area or socioeconomic class surveyed. On the other hand, Duterte enjoyed majority approval in the Visayas, Mindanao, and among respondents from Classes D and E.
The nationwide survey was conducted from June 28 to July 3 and July 6, 2026, among Filipino adults and measured public opinion on the performance and trustworthiness of the country's top national government officials.
