The Quezon City government has issued a permit allowing Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) to hold a peaceful rally on Wednesday, July 1, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., along White Plains Avenue and Temple Drive in Quezon City.
According to the permit issued by the Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) on June 30, 2026, the city interposes "NO OBJECTION" to the proposed gathering after a request was filed by the authorized representative, Atty. Lindsey Fabella-Bendal.
The permit, addressed to Min. Eraño S. Codera, estimates that around 100,000 participants are expected to attend the day-long rally.
City officials, however, required organizers to strictly comply with several conditions. The activity must be held only within the approved area along White Plains Avenue and Temple Drive, and no total road closure will be allowed during the event.
Organizers were also directed to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the venue at all times and ensure that the area is thoroughly cleaned after the rally.
The permit states that the clearance may be revoked or canceled in case of an emergency, if public interest demands it, or if organizers fail to comply with any of the conditions set by the city.
Authorities also reminded organizers that the gathering should not interfere with the security measures being implemented by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the city's Law and Order Cluster, traffic management personnel, and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) during the event.
The DPOS further warned that conducting the rally in any location other than the one specified in the permit may constitute a prohibited act under Section 13 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 880, also known as the Public Assembly Act, and could result in appropriate legal action.
The permit was signed by Elmo DG. San Diego, Ph.D., Police Brigadier General (Ret.), head of the Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety, and was received by the organizers on June 30.
