Roblox will remain accessible in the Philippines, with no official ban announced, as authorities continue efforts to strengthen online child protection measures amid rising concerns over online abuse.

Concerns over online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC) have prompted increased scrutiny of digital platforms, leading government agencies to reinforce efforts to safeguard Filipino children online.

The Philippine government, through agencies such as the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), continues to engage with technology companies to promote safer online environments.

Discussions with platform representatives have focused on implementing stronger safety features, including content moderation, reporting mechanisms, and parental control tools.

Roblox already employs safety measures such as default restrictions for younger users, including limitations on chat and in-game interactions, along with options for parents to manage their children’s accounts.

Authorities emphasized that protecting children online is a shared responsibility among the government, technology platforms, and families, with parents encouraged to actively use available safety tools.

As concerns over digital safety persist, officials are expected to continue working with industry stakeholders to further strengthen protections for young users.
