South Korean singer and 2NE1 member Sandara Park has been named the new promotional ambassador for South Korea’s Overseas Koreans Affairs Office, marking another milestone in her long-standing connection with Koreans living abroad.

Park shared the news with fans through a social media post, expressing her appreciation for the opportunity and highlighting the personal significance of the role. Having spent several years in the Philippines before rising to fame in South Korea, she said the appointment holds special meaning for her.

In her message, Park thanked the agency for entrusting her with the position and said her years in the Philippines helped her better understand the experiences and sentiments of overseas Koreans. She also pledged to serve as a bridge connecting overseas Korean communities with South Korea.

Known for her popularity both in South Korea and the Philippines, Sandara remains one of the most recognizable Korean celebrities among Filipino fans. Her new role is expected to help strengthen engagement between South Korea and Korean communities around the world.
