SMFB Profit Rises 13 Percent In 2025 On Strong Food, Spirits Sales

San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc. (SMFB) reported a 13% increase in consolidated net income to ₱46.3 billion in 2025, driven by strong performance in its food and spirits businesses along with steady beer sales.

The company posted ₱419.1 billion in consolidated revenues, up 5% year-on-year, while gross profit rose 8% to ₱120.4 billion. Operating income grew 9% to ₱61.0 billion, and EBITDA climbed 10% to ₱80.6 billion, with margins improving to 19%. Net income attributable to equity holders also increased 17%.

“2025 was a strong year for SMFB, and that is a credit to our people across the organization,” said Ramon S. Ang, chairman of the company. “We will continue investing in our brands and operations so we can serve more Filipino families and deliver long-term value to our shareholders.”

The company’s food business led growth, with revenues rising 6% to ₱196.3 billion, while operating income surged 30% to ₱17.3 billion and net income jumped 38% to ₱11.6 billion, supported by strong demand for poultry and branded products such as those from Magnolia and Purefoods.

Meanwhile, the beer segment generated ₱155.4 billion in revenues, remaining stable despite pressure from excise tax increases, while the spirits business grew revenues 8% to ₱67.4 billion with higher pricing and steady sales volumes.
