Trump To Review New Iran Peace Proposal Amid Ongoing Tensions

U.S. President Donald Trump said he will review Iran’s latest peace proposal as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Trump made the statement through social media, where he suggested that the proposal sent by Iran may still fall short of what the United States expects following decades of conflict and strained relations between the two countries.
The development comes months after military tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran raised fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East and affected global oil markets.
According to international reports, Iran recently submitted a new 14-point peace proposal through Pakistan, which has been helping facilitate communication between both sides. The proposal reportedly includes requests for sanctions relief, the withdrawal of U.S. forces from areas surrounding Iran, and changes involving the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil shipping route.
Despite the renewed diplomatic push, Trump indicated that the United States remains cautious and is still evaluating Iran’s intentions moving forward.
Earlier this year, clashes between Iran and allied Western forces escalated after American and Israeli strikes targeted Iranian-linked facilities, increasing tensions across the region. Although a ceasefire has largely held since April, negotiations remain fragile as both countries continue to hold firm positions on security and regional influence.
Iranian officials have maintained that Tehran is open to diplomacy but warned that the country is prepared to respond if tensions escalate again.
