Trump Warns Of Massive Retaliation As Middle East Gas Strikes Escalate

U.S. President Donald J. Trump has issued a strong warning amid rising tensions in the Middle East, cautioning that any further attacks on key energy facilities could trigger a massive military response from the United States.

The statement came after Israeli forces reportedly struck a section of the massive South Pars Gas Field in Iran—one of the world’s most critical energy hubs. While only a small portion of the facility was hit, the incident has heightened fears of a broader conflict in the region.

Trump stressed that the United States had no prior knowledge of the strike. He also clarified that Qatar was not involved and had no idea the attack was going to happen.

However, in the confusion that followed, Iran allegedly retaliated by striking part of Qatar’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure—apparently believing the country was connected to the earlier attack.

That escalation drew a firm response from Trump.

He said no further Israeli strikes on the South Pars field are expected—unless Iran launches another attack, especially against Qatar. If that happens, he warned that the United States could respond with overwhelming force, potentially targeting the entire gas field.

Still, Trump acknowledged the serious long-term consequences such an escalation could bring, particularly for Iran, signaling that such action would only be taken if absolutely necessary.
