The UAAP Season 88 volleyball tournaments for both men’s and women’s divisions officially start on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, ushering in another exciting collegiate volleyball season.

A major highlight this year is the introduction of a green card system designed to promote honesty and sportsmanship on the court. Players who voluntarily admit infractions, such as touching the net or blocking when officials did not call it, will be awarded green cards. Teams that accumulate the most green cards by the end of the season will receive the Sportsmanship Award.

The system draws inspiration from the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), where green cards are used to encourage fair play and minimize disputes, complementing video challenge reviews.

Defending champions like the National University Lady Bulldogs remain favorites in the women’s division, but roster changes and rising talent across schools have made this a more open and competitive season. Fans can expect intense matches, potential upsets, and breakout performances from several teams.

The UAAP volleyball action officially tips off on February 14, 2026, with multiple marquee games scheduled throughout the opening weekend. With the green card system emphasizing integrity and respect for the rules, Season 88 promises thrilling volleyball and a stronger focus on sportsmanship in collegiate play.
