Vice President Sara Duterte recently returned to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), where she joined local residents for the opening of the “EXTRA+Ordinary: The Vice Presidents of the Philippines” pop-up exhibit at Rojas Central Elementary School in Cotabato City.
Duterte said she was pleased to once again visit the region and engage with the Bangsamoro community during the exhibit’s launch last week.
The exhibit showcases stories of ordinary Filipinos who demonstrated resilience, courage, and patriotism despite facing significant challenges in their lives. Through these narratives, organizers hope to inspire visitors, particularly young people, to appreciate the values of perseverance and service to the nation.
As part of the event, the Vice President also donated a copy of the *First in Line: The Vice Presidents of the Philippines* coffee table book to the school. The book aims to help students gain a deeper understanding of Philippine history and the role of the country's vice presidents through the years.
Duterte expressed hope that the lessons found in the book, along with the stories featured in the exhibit, would serve as a source of guidance and inspiration for students in their studies and personal growth.
She also thanked the people of Cotabato City for their warm welcome and encouraged Filipinos to continue showing love for the country, emphasizing the values of faith, patriotism, and family.
