After months of speculation, television host and comedian Ryan Bang has finally confirmed that he and his former fiancée, Paola Huyong, have ended their relationship, revealing that he has been single since January 2026.
The "It's Showtime" host shared the emotional experience in Vice Ganda's YouTube vlog titled "Mga Naka Naka Kong Broken, Nagsalita Na!", where he admitted that he did everything he could to save their relationship.
"Tinry ko eh, tinry ko na ayusin. Kasi alam ko, nung panahon na 'yon, hindi ko maintindihan, ba't 'di umabot nang ganito," Ryan said.
"I was trying, I was hoping, I was praying na maayos," he added.
Bang also addressed long-running rumors that a third party caused the breakup. He acknowledged having his own shortcomings but firmly denied allegations that he cheated on Huyong.
"Siyempre sa relationship, meron din akong kasalanan pero I never cheat. Hindi totoo 'yun, 'yung sinasabi ng mga tao. Sobrang grateful pa rin ako kasi sobrang bait 'yung pamilya hanggang ngayon, lalo na 'yung magulang niya. Magkaiba pala 'yung paniniwala, magkaiba pala 'yung gawi, tsaka magkaiba pala thinking lalo na pagdating sa marriage. Talagang tigil ang mundo. Sobrang hirap. Sobrang pagsisisi nu'ng lahat."
According to the Korean-born TV personality, differences in beliefs, lifestyles, and views about marriage eventually led to the end of their engagement. Despite the separation, he said he remains thankful to Huyong and her family, whom he described as kind and supportive.
Ryan and Paola announced their engagement in June 2024 after more than a year of dating. They had publicly shared plans to get married in 2026 and were frequently seen together, including a double date with Vice Ganda and Ion Perez in April 2025.
Rumors about their breakup first surfaced in late 2025 after fans noticed changes in their social media activity, including the removal of their engagement photos. In the months that followed, comments made by Vice Ganda on "It's Showtime" fueled further speculation, although neither Ryan nor Paola publicly addressed the reports at the time.
Born Bang Hyun-sung, Ryan rose to fame after joining "Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010." He later became one of the main hosts of "It's Showtime" and established himself as one of the most recognizable Korean personalities in Philippine entertainment. Over the years, he has embraced Filipino culture and developed a close relationship with Vice Ganda, whom he considers a second mother.
Although moving on has been difficult, Ryan said he is slowly learning to accept what happened and hopes to grow from the experience while continuing to focus on his career and personal life.
