Sec. Dizon Leads Fast-Track Fix As Magallanes Flyover Southbound Reopens
Screengrab from DPWH
Public Works Sec. Vince Dizon led the push to reopen the southbound lane of the Magallanes Flyover after a 24/7 Holy Week rehabilitation.

The round-the-clock repairs ran from Holy Wednesday until 4 a.m. Monday, allowing the flyover to be ready just as regular traffic resumed.

The accelerated work followed the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to maximize the holiday break for major road repairs along EDSA.

With the southbound lane now back in service, authorities expect smoother traffic flow, shorter travel time, and reduced fuel costs for motorists navigating one of Metro Manila’s busiest routes.
