Speaker Dy Inspects Magat Dam Amid Falling Water Levels

Speaker of the House Faustino Dy III personally visited the Magat Dam and Reservoir in Ramon, Isabela, to assess the current situation as water levels continue to decline due to the prolonged lack of rainfall.
During the visit, Speaker Dy was joined by Vice Governor Kiko Dy, officials from the Local Government of Ramon, and representatives from the National Irrigation Administration–Magat River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-MARIIS) Ramon.
The inspection aimed to provide firsthand updates on the condition of one of the country's major reservoirs, which plays a crucial role in irrigation, power generation, and water supply.
Authorities continue to monitor the dam's water elevation as the dry weather persists, raising concerns over its possible impact on agriculture and other sectors that rely on the reservoir.
The visit also highlighted the coordination between national and local officials in monitoring the effects of the ongoing dry spell and discussing measures to address potential challenges brought about by the declining water level.
