Tubu Powers Farm Fresh To Historic Semis, Calls Moment 'A Dream Come True'

For Trisha Tubu, the journey from hopeful contender to semifinalist still feels almost unreal—and now, it’s finally happening.
On Tuesday, the 25-year-old opposite spiker delivered when it mattered most, leading Farm Fresh to a dominant straight-sets win over Nxled, 25-17, 25-20, 25-19, in the play-in round of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
The victory wasn’t just another win—it marked Farm Fresh’s first-ever trip to the semifinals, a milestone years in the making.
“To be honest, it feels so amazing,” Tubu shared after putting up 12 points. “I used to just dream about this, not knowing when we could actually get here. But through the process, with the help of management and the whole team, we really worked hard for this semis berth. It’s so fulfilling—I can’t even explain it.”
The Foxies’ rise didn’t happen overnight. Since joining the league in 2023, the team has gone through multiple coaching changes and system adjustments—each one a challenge, but also a step forward.
From different coaching styles to evolving strategies, Tubu believes those constant transitions ultimately made them stronger.
“We’ve had several coaches and different systems,” she said. “Adjusting wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t too hard either. We got used to it. All those systems helped shape how we play now, and with Coach Koji, everything just came together.”
Under head coach Koji Tsuzurabara, Farm Fresh found a system that not only sharpened their game—but also boosted their confidence. The team now sees itself not just as underdogs, but as real contenders ready to take on the league’s best.
With history already made, the Foxies head into the semifinals carrying momentum, belief, and the confidence that years of hard work have finally brought them to this breakthrough moment.
