Zaldy Co No Longer In Czech Custody As PH Pushes For Return

Justice Secretary Frederick Vida confirmed that former congressman Zaldy Co is no longer in the custody of the Czech Republic following a meeting between Philippine officials and their counterparts.
According to reports, Co remains somewhere within the Schengen area, a group of European countries with open borders, raising questions about his exact whereabouts.
Despite this, the Philippine government said it is continuing legal efforts to bring Co back to the country, where he is being linked to alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
Authorities assured that coordination with international partners is ongoing as they work to secure his return and ensure he faces the charges against him.
