DA Issues Price Guidelines for Basic Commodities in NCR Wet Markets

The Department of Agriculture has issued Administrative Circular 17 which sets suggested retail prices (SRPs) for basic commodities in wet markets in the National Capital Region.

“Whereas, in order not to aggravate the current difficulties of the Filipino people who are affected by the pandemic and the series of calamities, there is a need to manage prices for basic necessities in the market,” the circular read.

The SRPs however do not apply to supermarkets.

The circular shall take effect immediately after its publication on the DA’s website. It was signed on Thursday by Agriculture Secretary William Dar.
