MANILA, Philippines – K-pop sensation BTS has shattered records with the release of their first all-english track Dynamite.

The song’s music video released on August 21 became the most viewed on YouTube in the first 24 hours of release with over 100 million views.

“We can confirm that BTS (방탄소년단) ‘Dynamite’ Official MV set a new all-time 24hr record, surpassing 100 million views with 101.1 million views in the first 24 hours,” YouTube declared.

Thus has BTS dethroned the girl group Blackpink, who previously held the record with 86.3 million views a day after they released their recent single “How You Like That.”

Apart from having the most viewed music video within 24 hours of release, BTS also now holds the biggest premiere in YouTube history after over three million fans tuned in to witness the release of “Dynamite.”

The seven-member group will perform “Dynamite” at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards on August 30.

The disco-infused music video has so far garnered more than 171 million views with 14 million likes, as of this writing.
