Five Kathniel Movies To Have Indian Remakes

Five Filipino movies top billed by actors Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will have Indian adaptations following an agreement made between ABS-CBN Film Productions and India's Global One Studios.
In a statement on Friday, October 15, ABS-CBN Film Productions said that the five KathNiel movies set for Indian remakes are "Barcelona: A Love Untold,” “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” “Crazy Beautiful You,” “She’s Dating The Gangster,” and “The Hows Of Us.” The last one was the country's top-grossing film in 2018.
"The deal is historic in Philippine cinema as it will be the first time for India, considered as one of the largest movie hubs in the world, to localize five Filipino films with lead artists and introduce them with new and talented Indian loveteams to Bollywood," the statement read.
The Indian adaptation deal coincides with the reel and real life KathNiel couple’s 10th anniversary.
KathNiel were named Phenomenal Box Office Stars in 2019 for “The Hows of Us,” Box Office King and Queen in 2017 for the “Barcelona: A Love Untold,” and Prince and Princess of Philippine Movies in 2018 for “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and in 2016 for “Crazy Beautiful You.”
